10 Best 6 Burner Gas Grill Reviews for 2024

By Chris Johns •  Updated: 04/18/24 •  17 min read

Best 6-Burner Gas GrillsA 6-burner gas grill is perfect for the barbecuing veteran who is fed up with limited grilling space and underwhelmed by the BTU power you’re getting from a smaller gas grill model.

With a six-burner grill, you’re able to easily prepare and warm sides, sear steaks, and better regulate heat across a large cooking area. They’re practically large enough to feed an army, too.

Six-burner gas grills can be a bit of an investment compared to a 2-burner or 4-burner gas BBQ, so you’ll want to ensure that you make the most informed decision possible.

In this article, I review my favorite 6-burner gas grills and break down each by price point, grilling power, square footage, and style. I’ll also cover each model’s durability and highlight some of the impressive “extras” that different grill manufacturers include.

The Best 6 Burner Grills for 2024

Below is my list of the 10 best six-burner gas grills in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K in 2024. I’ll start with the top five overall choices, then go into the reviews and best options for different needs.

1. Weber Summit E-670 6-Burner Gas Grill – Best Overall Choice #1

Weber Summit E-670 6-Burner Gas Grill

View on Amazon

If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line 6 burner gas grill that’s built like a tank but still drop-dead gorgeous, the Weber’s Summit E-670 is a worthy candidate.

The E-670 features a closed-cart design and six stainless-steel burners packed inside a sleek and sturdy stainless-steel design. As with all of Weber’s luxury grills, the Summit includes its signature Flavorizer bar technology and grease management system.

These v-shaped bars not only vaporize drippings and redistribute them back into your food, but they also ease cleanup, prevent flare-ups, and protect the burner’s tubes from clogging. That means better tasting food and a safer, cleaner cooking experience.

Since we’re talking about burner tubes, let’s take a closer look at what’s under the hood of this stainless steel BBQ grill.

The Summit’s burner system is made from high-grade stainless steel, and the tubes are constructed from a single piece of steel. Since there aren’t any welds, the burner system is galvanized to resist corrosion and rust.

This is a boutique 6 burner gas grill, so Weber included all of the extras. These include an LED propane tank monitoring system, illuminated control knobs, and intelligent grill-out lights that automatically turn on when you raise the cook box’s lid.

And there’s more: The Summit boasts 769 square inches of cooking space and a heat output of 60,800 BTUs. You also get a searing station, ideal for steakhouse-style grilling, and a side burner where you can simultaneously prepare sides and sauces.

If you’re looking for a spacious workspace, the Summit 6 burner gas grill gives you two stainless steel side tables to spread out on and hooks for hanging your tools.

To reduce fire risk, Weber designed a grease catchment system that channels excess drippings beneath the cook box. What little grease doesn’t vaporize flows into a catch pan that conveniently removes and cleans it.

If you’re looking for innovative design, expert engineering, long-life, and sleek presentation that’s backed by a five-year warranty, the Summit E-670 delivers.

For those cooking with natural gas: You’ll be happy to know that while this is not a dual-fuel grill, Weber hasn’t forgotten about you. The Summit S-670 is identical to this grill. The only difference is that the S-670 runs on natural gas.

Megamaster 6 Burner 753 Sq. Inch Propane Gas Grill

Want the cooking flexibility and square footage of a 6 burner grill but aren’t prepared to invest in a boutique piece of hardware? The Megamaster grill may be a good option.

I like this 6 burner gas grill because it doesn’t pretend to be something that it’s not. The Megamaster is first and foremost designed to cook. But its pitch black finish does make it look sharp.

Megamaster has stripped away all the superfluous extras to keep this grill affordable. These are bare-bones, no-nonsense gas grills. So while you won’t find a closed-cart design, flashy grill-out lights, or illuminated control knobs, you will have a sharp-looking, well-built grill that will feed an army.

Additional features include 753 square inches of cooking surface, porcelain-enameled cast-iron grates, and 54,000 BTUs of power. As a result, you’ll have excellent heat retention, easy cleaning, and a long lifespan.

If you’re looking for extra food prep space, the Megamaster 6 burner gas grill includes two 13.5” wide side tables. Other features of this 6 burner gas grill include a built-in temperature gauge, a porcelain-enameled warming rack, and two wheels make moving this 81-pound piece of machinery easy.

This six-burner gas grill is ideal for budget grillers who need ample cooking space and prep area, a durable design, and a price tag that won’t make you gasp.

Weber Summit S-670 Stainless-Steel Gas Grill

The Summit S-670 is identical to Weber’s E-670 model, with one exception: The S-670 comes with a stainless steel finish. If you need a refresher, here’s what you can expect from the S-670:

A closed-cart design, perfect for hiding your propane tank and storing your cooking gear, six stainless-steel main burners and tubes, patented Flavorizer bar technology, and 60,800 BTUs of cooking power that evenly distributes heat across your 769-square-inch cooking surface.

If you’re looking for the best 6-burner natural gas grill on the market, you’ll want to consider the S-670 seriously.

Because this is a luxury 6 burner gas grill, Weber also gives you all the extra bells and whistles: an LED propane tank monitoring system, illuminated control knobs, grill-out lights, a high heat searing station, a side burner, and two stainless steel side tables.

As with the Summit E-670, this 6 burner gas grill is backed by Weber’s generous five-year warranty.

5. Char-Broil Performance Series 6-Burner Gas Grill

Char-Broil Performance Series 6-Burner Gas Grill

View on Amazon

Next up is the Char-Broil Performance Series 6-Burner Gas Grill. This unit offers 550 square inches of cooking surface, a swing-away warming rack, and porcelain-coated cast-iron grates, minimizing cleanup and eliminating rust.

This may not offer the square footage of some of the pricier grills on my list, but I was able to cook thirty well-proportioned burgers all at once.

This grill has few limitations, but those shopping for 6-burner natural gas bbq will need to shop elsewhere. This is not a dual-fuel 6 burner gas grill.

It is, however, a mid-priced durable grill that is durable, good-looking, and easy to clean. I particularly like Char-Broil’s decision to coat the grease pan with porcelain. This is a non-stick pan, so I never find myself scrubbing away excess drippings or stubborn marinades.

This is a closed-cabinet grill, which keeps your liquid propane tank and cooking gear out of sight.

These 6 burner gas grills are largely made from stainless steel and include a 10,000 BTU lidded side burner and a 15,000 BTU sear burner. This provides a lot of cooking flexibility and allows you to prepare sauces and sides on one burner, achieve steakhouse sears on another, and cook up to thirty burgers on your main cooking surface—all at once!

Char-Broil Gas Grills back this grill with a five-year warranty covering the burners, firebox, and lid. The rest of this 6 burner gas grill is protected by a one-year warranty.

If you’re looking for a six-burner grill that is versatile, durable, easy to clean, and provides even heat distribution and combined heat output of 45,000 BTUs, the Char-Broil Performance 650 is hard to ignore. Especially at this price point.

6. Monument Grills 77352 6-Burner Gas Grill

View on Amazon

If you’re looking for a showpiece grill—a unit that walks, talks, and cooks a lot like the far more expensive Weber Summit grills—but don’t want to break the bank, read on.

Monument’s 77352 six-burner looks and grills a heck of a lot like a higher-end Weber. But here’s the cool part: It costs only ¼ as much! Just because you’re saving cash doesn’t mean that Monument skimped on the extras.

This Monument grill includes a massive 900-square-inch cooking area, a warming rack, flame tamers, and a powered rotisseries kit with all the necessary hardware.

You don’t get grill-out lights, Flavorizer bar technology, or a searing station like you would with a Weber, but at this price, I couldn’t care less.

Monument gas grills did include several extra features that give this grill plenty of swag. These include sleek backlit LED knobs, a 12,000 BTU side burner, two side tables with hardware hooks, and a closed-cart design with plenty of storage space.

The removable grease trap makes cleanup quick and easy, too. Did I mention that this 6 burner gas grill is made out of stainless steel?

If you’re looking for a showpiece grill that is robust, affordable and has a truly massive cooking space and many of the flashy extras that far more expensive units have, Monument’s six-burner may be the unit for you.

Worth mentioning, too: Monument backs this unit with a one-year warranty on the entire grill. The burners are also guaranteed for eight years, which is one of the most generous warranties out there in my experience with grill manufacturers.

7. Napoleon Prestige PRO 500 Gas Grill

Napoleon Prestige 500 Propane Gas Grill

Considering the company name (“Napoleon”)  and the fact that they’re releasing grilling equipment with monikers like “Prestige Pro,” I’d say that this grill has a lot to live up to. But does it deliver? The short answer is yes.

The Prestige Pro is a commercial-quality grill made out of stainless steel and burnished chrome, which means this unit is as brawny as it is beautiful. This is a luxury grill, and the price tag reflects that.

However, if you are looking for a pageant-winner that isn’t going to crumble or crack under the elements or rust out after extended use, the Prestige Pro 500 won’t let you down—and its design ensures that.

The Prestige Pro 500’s cooking grids, tube burners, sear plates, and basin are all made out of stainless steel. Included are Napoleon Grill’s signature wave grill grates, which keep food from slipping through the cracks.

Additionally, you’ll have access to a quick-heat infrared side burner, which reaches 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit in only 30 seconds and is perfect for achieving those signature steakhouse sears.

Extra features include illuminated cooking and interior storage areas, soft-close doors that won’t slam, and side shelves that provide ample prep space. This is a robust piece of machinery, and it’s also quite a looker.

The LED spectrum night light control knobs are color-adjustable, giving you the option to choose just about any color on the spectrum.

The Prestige 500 also includes an infrared rear rotisserie burner, a roll-top lid, and it delivers 80,000 BTUs across its 900-square-inch cooking surface.

If you’re a seasoned user of gas grills that’s looking to invest in what I would argue is one of the finest looking, best engineered six-burner propane grills on the market, the Prestige Pro 500 is a serious contender.

This is a commercial-grade grill, and the price tag reflects it. If you have some money to play with and want to make a long-term investment, this could be the unit for you.

8. Char-Broil Performance 650 6-Burner Cabinet Gas Grill

Char-Broil Performance 650 6-Burner Cabinet Gas Grill

View on Amazon

If you’re searching for a mid-range six-burner grill that isn’t needlessly flashy but cooks consistently and includes plenty of extras, the Char-Broil Performance 650 may be a good choice.

This unit delivers 60,000 BTUs across 650 square inches of cooking surface. It’s not as spacious (or showy) as some of the other grills on my list, but it is very affordable, well-built, and backed by a generous five-year warranty.

I also like that this unit has sear and side burners, a built-in thermometer, and a closed-cart design. Plus, Char-Broil manufactured it, a company that’s led the industry for more than seven decades.

Like the Megamaster six-burner grill, the Char-Broil 650 doesn’t pretend to be something that it’s not. You’re not looking at the Ferrari of six-burners—so don’t expect grill-out lights, LED illuminated burner dials, a fuel-tank reader, or Bluetooth capability.

Here’s what you do get with this 6 burner gas grill: porcelain-coated cast-iron grates that are rust- and stick-resistant. The side burner, too, is a nice touch—and I like that I can fold the burner lid down when I’m not using it. This significantly increases my food-prep space.

Additional highlights include stainless steel top-ported burners and heat tents, an electronic ignition system, two side tables (when you include the side burner station, which doubles as a table when not in use), and a two-door storage area.

I also like that this 6 burner gas grill rests on four casters, two of which lock.

If you’re looking for an affordable grill that gives you searing power, a side burner, and plenty of prep and cooking space, the Char-Broil Performance 650 is a go-to grill choice.

If you loved the Weber Summit S-670 propane grill but prefer cooking with a natural gas grill 6-burner, you’ll be happy to know Weber hasn’t forgotten you.

Thankfully, the Summit S-670 6-burner natural gas grill offers all of the same amenities you get with the propane version. If you need a quick crash course, here’s what this unit offers:

First off, you get the same signature Flavorizer bar technology. This design utilizes v-shaped bars that capture grease, vaporize it, and redistribute that flavor back into your food. Thanks to this design, cleanup and flare-ups are virtually eliminated.

Additional features included a closed-cart design, six stainless-steel burners and tubes, 60,800 BTUs of cooking power, and a 769-square-inch cooking surface.

As with the propane models, the Summit S-670 natural gas grill includes an LED propane tank monitoring system, illuminated control knobs, grill-out lights, a searing station, a side burner, and two stainless steel side tables.

10. Nexgrill 6-Burner Deluxe Series Gas Grill

Nexgrill 6-Burner Deluxe Series Gas Grill

View on Amazon

The Nexgrill six-burner Deluxe boasts 563 square inches of cooking surface, 75,000 BTUs of heat output, and a searing station.

Nexgrill utilizes similar flavorizing technology that Weber has been using for years. With this grill, you get angled flame tamers (similar to Weber’s Flavorizer bar design) that capture grease, vaporize it, and reinfuse the flavor back into your food. The flame tamers also eliminate the risk of flare-ups and make cleanup a breeze.

Additional features include porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates, built to retain heat exceptionally well. Other features include a 200 square inch warming rack and a plug-in rotisserie kit that is ideal for cooking chicken, roast pork, or anything else that you want to throw on a spit.

The 15,000 BTU ceramic searing station means greater cooking flexibility and enables you to get those quick and juicy steakhouse sears. Extra features include a built-in thermometer, LED lighting, a removable grease cup, heavy-duty rolling wheels that support a fully enclosed cart.

If you’re a natural-gas griller, you’re in luck: this 6 burner gas grill can be converted to accommodate your fuel source!

If you’re looking for a mid-priced grill that is handsome, sturdy, and utilizes the kind of grilling technology that you can only get with commercial-grade grills, the Nexgrill 6-burner gas bbq grill is a fantastic option.

Every inch of this grill is made out of stainless steel and chrome, so you can count on the fact that this unit will endure through years of cooking. In addition to this, I like the quick-heat infrared side burner and the fact that it heats up to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit in only 30 seconds.

I also like the thoughtful touches that Napoleon 6 burner gas grill added. These include soft-close doors, LED spectrum night light control knobs, a massive cooking surface, and ample storage.

Are you in the market for a robust six-burner grill that sits snug in the mid-price range? If you want a grilling machine that looks gorgeous and includes most of the amenities you’d get with a far more expensive Weber grill, I wholly recommend the Monument’s 77352 unit.

This grill looks and grills like a Weber Summit but lists for only a fraction of the cost. What’s more, is that Monument does not skimp on square footage. The 77352 includes a massive 900-square-inch primary cooking area, a warming rack, stainless steel cooking grates, flame tamers, and a powered rotisseries kit with all the necessary hardware.

If you’re a sucker for extras like I am, Monument added backlit LED knobs, a 12,000 BTU side burner, and two side tables with hardware hooks. This unit is easy to clean, made from stainless steel, and is backed by two competitive warranties.

I hope you found my list of the best 6-burner gas BBQ grills helpful.
