Extra amenities include Weber’s signature Flavorizer bar technology. Just below the porcelain-enameled cast-iron grates rest a series of v-shaped bars. These bars serve a few purposes: not only do they capture drippings, vaporize them, and redistribute that flavor back into your food, they also keep the burner tubes from clogging while also preventing flare-ups.

More recently, the company stopped welding and switched to bracket screws. This improvement allows you to replace rusty brackets (for about $12) easily and extends this 3-burner gas grill’s life.
Another simple but useful upgrade is a small pin, which secures the grates, keeping them from shifting around during cooking and cleanup.
