Best Korean BBQ Grill Reviews
Here are the complete reviews of the ten best Korean BBQ grills in 2024. Some allow you to cook main dishes and eight sides at once simultaneously. Others are compact, lightweight, and ready for life on the road. Keep reading after the reviews for a guide on what to look for when choosing a Korean BBQ grill.
1. TECHEF Korean BBQ – Best Overall Choice #1
The TECHEF Korean BBQ lands at the top of the list thanks to its affordable price, ample BTU power, and simple yet sleek design.
There’s a lot to love about this Korean BBQ grill. At only 14” X 14”, it doesn’t hog the dinner table. Plus, it stows vertically, so it is ideal for those with limited kitchen and cabinet space.
Despite its compact footprint, the removable BBQ grill pan provides plenty of space to grill delicious Korean food.
I also like that the grill pan has a unique swirled channel design, which helps oil drain slowly for increased flavor. Oil works its way around this channel, then exits the pan into a drip tray.

The grill pan is also coated with Teflon, so it resists sticking. A bonus is that the grill pan rests on four legs with ridges. This keeps the grill pan stable without locking it in place, so you can rotate it or lift it from the base to serve guests.
The TECHEF Korean BBQ is powered by disposable butane cylinders and hidden inside a side compartment with a lid. So this unit is not only a performer. It also looks sleek and stylish.

2. CUSIMAX Smokeless Portable Korean BBQ Grill – Best Overall Choice #2
The CUSIMAX Smokeless Portable Korean BBQ Grill earns high marks for its smokeless design, dishwasher-safe construction, and ample cooking surface.
The beauty of this Korean BBQ is that it can be used as an indoor and outdoor grill. At nearly 20” X 12”, you have enough grate space for grilling up whole steaks, fish fillets, and sides all at once.
I’ve treated this Korean BBQ like a traditional grill and made dinner on the balcony many times. And when the weather changes, I just bring it indoors and get to work.
See, this Korean BBQ comes with a built-in smoke extractor and fan, so it doesn’t trigger smoke alarms or leave the condo smelling like a restaurant. A bonus is that this indoor grill runs on electricity so that you can lock in temperatures between 200-450 degrees Fahrenheit from the LED smart display.
Extra features include double-U heating tubes, which warm the grates evenly. The perforated grill pan is another handy feature on this smokeless grill. I like that my food gets bold sear marks and grease channels away from my food and into a drip tray.
A bonus with this electric grill is that the glass lid, BBQ grill pan, and heat reflector are all dishwasher safe.
If you’re looking for a Korean BBQ grill that has ample grill space and won’t trip smoke alarms or leave your home smelling like a greasy commercial kitchen, check out the CUSIMAX Smokeless Portable Korean BBQ Grill.

3. CUSIMAX Raclette Korean BBQ Grill Table
If you’re looking for a versatile grill with a massive cooking surface, you’re going to like the CUSIMAX Raclette Korean BBQ Grill Table.
This electric Korean BBQ grill from CUSIMAX is divided up into two tiers, giving you a total of nine separate cooking stations.
The top griddle is just under 19” X 17”, so you have enough space for the entire family…and then some!
Beneath the main grates, you’ll find eight independent Raclette trays. I use these to prepare sides to give my guests a proper Korean BBQ experience. It’s great that I can cook up enough food and sides for a large group without blending flavors.
But the perks don’t end here. The main grate is reversible: one side is ribbed, the other flat. I use the ribbed side for Korean barbecue, but it also comes in handy when cooking brats, burgers, steaks, and different sides.
When I want to cook breakfast items like eggs, pancakes, french toast, even crepes, all I have to do is flip to the smooth griddle side.
This Korean electric BBQ grill has 1,500 watts of power, so it can put out up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit of heat. It’s hard to believe, but this electric grill competes with many propane grills. And, surprisingly, this is one of the most affordable units on the list.
Whether you want to cook authentic Korean BBQ, whip up breakfast foods, or grill up brats, burgers, and eight other sides all on one cook box, the CUSIMAX Raclette Korean BBQ Grill Table allows you to do it.

4. CookKing Korean Grill Pan
If you already own a butane-powered Korean BBQ grill and want to expand your grill space, check out the CookKing Korean Grill Pan.
This Korean BBQ pan is 16” in diameter and divided into six channels. I use the center ring for large cuts of meat. Sauces go in the larger outer ring; garlic goes in the two small slots near the outer pan handles; kimchi goes in the second outer ring; and so on.
The beauty of this design is that you can cook a variety of Korean barbecue food without mixing flavors.
What’s more, the middle part of the pan is slightly domed, and there’s also a grease channel. Excess grease and fat naturally flow away from the food, out of the pan, and into a drip tray.
Cleanup is also a breeze. I just hit this Korean BBQ grill pan with warm water and wipe it down with a light sponge when I’m done. Even after a year of consistent use, this unit is rust-free, and there aren’t any scrape marks to be found on the surface.
Whether you want to make Korean BBQ on your kitchen stove or just want to swap out the grill pan that came with your BBQ, you can’t go wrong with the CookKing Korean Grill Pan.

5. Iwatani Smokeless Korean Barbecue Grill
The Iwatani Smokeless Korean Barbecue Grill is one of my favorite butane-powered Korean BBQ grills.
This compact unit leaves plenty of space on the table at only 2.3 pounds and just under 12” X 11”. Plus, it stows away nicely thanks to its thin, square design. Despite its compact footprint, there’s still plenty of space on the grates to feed a group of four.
This indoor grill unit is incredibly user-friendly. Just pop in the butane, pour some water into the drip pan to prevent smoking and turn the control dial to click it on. Now dial in your ideal temperature. Pretty simple.
I like this Korean BBQ grill because the burner is enclosed inside the alloy steel body. So it will last much longer because grease never touches it. Plus, dangerous flare-ups are eliminated.
One downside with this smokeless indoor grill is that you cannot swap out grill pans if you want to upgrade.
This unit tops out at around just under 500 degrees Fahrenheit, so it has plenty of searing power. Yet, I can also dial it down if I want to slow cook meat and steam vegetables and sides.
The grill pan has a non-stick coating and a grease drain, allowing excess fat to flow into a water pan to prevent smoking.
The Iwatani Smokeless Korean Barbecue Grill earns high marks for its sturdy construction, enclosed burner, high searing power, and affordable price.

6. UPIT Korean Grilling Pan
The UPIT Korean Grilling Pan is one of my favorite Korean BBQ pans.
This unit is compatible with almost any heat source so that you can use it on your stovetop, grill, hot plate, or even take it along on your next camping adventure.
So here’s what you get: a 13.5” in diameter aluminum Korean BBQ grill pan that’s divided up into four separate compartments.
The three side channels are ideal for sides like cheesy corn, eggs, garlic, and kimchi. And I use the large center ring for my main dishes like shrimp, steak, fish fillets, and even taller vegetables like broccolini and asparagus.
I like that the center plate is sloped and ribbed, which accomplishes two things: First, it helps produce bold sear lines on meat. Second, it channels grease and excess fat into the drain hole. So food is healthier and cleanup is virtually eliminated.
And since we’re talking about cleanup, this Korean BBQ grill pan is treated with a thick non-stick coating. So when you’re done, just run it under warm water and wipe it down with a sponge. Or, you can toss it in the dishwasher.
If you want to replace your old Korean barbecue grill pan, check out the UPIT Korean Grilling Pan. It’s affordable, has a large 13.5” cooking surface, and allows you to cook Korean barbecue on any heat source.

7. Techwood Smokeless Korean BBQ Grill
With a two-tiered cooking surface, reversible grill plates, and five separate cook stations, it’s safe to say that the Techwood Smokeless Korean BBQ Grill is the ultimate party grill. Surprisingly, though, this is one of the most affordable units on the list!
As I said, this Korean BBQ grill is divided up into two tiers, giving you a total of five cooking stations. The top griddle is just under 19” X 9”, so there’s a lot of room to work with. I use the top skillet for grilling my main dishes.
Beneath the main grates, you’ll find four cooking drawers. That’s where I drop my spicy cucumber salad, kimchi, egg roll omelets, and mixed veggies. The beauty is that I can cook up enough food and sides for an army without blending flavors.
This electric grill is fantastic for cooking Korean barbeque, but it shines no matter what you want to cook. Part of that is because the primary grate is reversible. On one side, you get a traditional ribbed grate; on the other, you get a flat griddle.
This design lets you cook Korean dishes, sure, but you can also make brats, burgers, steaks, or even breakfast foods like eggs, French toast, pancakes, and more.
The Techwood Smokeless Korean BBQ Grill provides infinite cooking possibilities. It’s fantastic for Korean cooking, but the possibilities are endless. So this unit is of tremendous value.

8. Eutuxia Korean BBQ Grill
The Eutuxia Korean BBQ Grill pan is another one of my favorite Korean grill pans.
This unit is compatible with almost any heat source, so feel free to use it on your kitchen stove, bring it along on your next boating adventure, or make traditional Korean-style food over the camp stove.
This Korean-style grill pan is 15” in diameter, giving you plenty of room for groups of four or five. This unit is divided up into six separate compartments.
I use the center ring for my main dishes. Eggs, veggies, cheese corns, and other sides go in the outer rings.
I also like that the main plate is ribbed, slopes, and comes with a grease hole. This design ensures that my meat receives dark sear lines while excess grease is drained.
This Korean barbecue pan is made from aluminum alloy, so it’s sturdy and heats quickly. Plus, it’s coated in four layers of non-stick material, so it’s easy to clean and won’t rust, even if you run it through the dishwasher.
If you want to replace your small Korean barbecue grill pan or just enjoy the flexibility to make popular Korean BBQ dishes on virtually any heat source, check out the Eutuxia Korean BBQ Grill pan.

9. CookKing Traditional Korean BBQ Grill Pan
If you already own a Korean traditional BBQ grill but need more grate space, check out the CookKing Traditional Korean BBQ Grill Pan.
This Korean barbecue pan is a little different from the others on the list in that it comes with two pieces: the bottom piece is a water pan, the top is an 11.5” sloped grate system.
The top piece drains grease into the bottom pan – and because it is filled with water, smoke and flare-ups are virtually eliminated.
Some Korean grill enthusiasts may not like the sloped grates because they don’t accommodate traditional sides very well. The advantage, though, is that this setup drains grease and fat better than any others I’ve used. So food is healthier.
A major perk is that this stovetop Korean BBQ pan can be used on just about any grilling surface. I’ve used it on my gas kitchen stove and taken it on the road for camping adventures.
I also like that this unit is made from sturdy aluminum, which heats quickly. The non-stick coating makes cleanup quick and easy, especially since you can throw it in the dishwasher without worrying about rust or corrosion.
If you want to make healthier Korean BBQ without all the fat and grease, check out the CookKing Traditional Korean BBQ Grill Pan.

10. UPIT Korean Grill Pan
The UPIT Korean Grill Pan is another one of my favorite Korean BBQ pans.
This unit earns high marks for its compatibility, durable design, easy cleanup, and efficient grease draining system.
To start, this unit is 15” in diameter. That’s a lot of grate space. While I wish it has separate compartments for sides and sauces, that’s not a dealbreaker – especially when you consider how durable this unit is.
The entire pan is coated in seven layers of non-stick PFOA-free materials. Normal non-sticktesting. The UPIT Korean Grill Pan passes more than 50,000 cycles of abrasion testing.
So this unit is far more durable than most Korean BBQ pans on the market.
I also like the ribbed grates, the sloped design, and the wide-mouth grease drain. This design ensures that meat and sides receive bold sear lines and that grease flows out of the pan and into a grease tray.
If you need a large cooking surface, rugged design, and the ability to make Korean BBQ on just about any hot surface, check out the UPIT Korean Grill Pan.

Why buy a Korean BBQ grill?
Korean BBQ isn’t just a type of food. It’s an immersive experience that draws out social gatherings, heightens conversation, and makes cooking collaborative and just plain fun. If you haven’t tried it yet, here are a few reasons to join the Korean BBQ craze.
No more eating and running
Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are special, but I can’t count the number of times I’ve spent eight hours cooking only to watch my guests devour everything in sight in less than twenty minutes. With traditional cooking, the meal is over before it even begins!
That’s not the case when you use a Korean BBQ grill. Korean BBQ is all about pacing, slowing down, and being together. Korean BBQ takes time, and it requires contributions from the entire group. So conversations and laughter abound! And the meal carries on into the night.
Cook great food indoors
Traditional grills allow you to cook almost anything. The trouble is that they use an open flame and cannot be used indoors. That’s another reason to love Korean BBQ grills: they can be used indoors and outdoors.
Expand your palate
I like burgers, brats, brisket, and typical American food as much as anyone. But I also want to explore other foods and cultures. What better way to do that than by using an electric Korean BBQ grill?
Korean barbecue grills allow you to explore new dishes you’ve probably never heard of. When was the last time you made grilled pork belly, tteokbokki, bibimbap, and kimchi? Why not try something new and share the experience with your friends and family?
What features to look for in a Korean BBQ grill
There are a few features to consider when shopping for the right Korean BBQ grill. These include plate diameter, materials, portability, weight, and the additional features listed below.
Plate diameter
Before purchasing an electric Korean BBQ grill, ask yourself how many people you intend to cook for. Most of the units here come with 12 to 14-inch plates, which is enough for small groups.
However, if you want to make enough meat and sides for an army, check out the CUSIMAX Raclette Korean BBQ Grill Table or the Techwood Smokeless Korean BBQ Grill. These units allow you to create an authentic Korean BBQ experience for groups of eight or more.
Plate style
Korean BBQ plates come in a few styles. Some, like the CookKing Traditional Korean BBQ Grill Pan, have a drastic slope to reduce grease for a healthier experience drastically.
Others, like the UPIT Korean Grilling Pan, are divided into separate compartments, which allows you to grill meat, and different sides without mixing flavors.
Materials
The best Korean barbecue grill pans are made from aluminum. Aluminum is not as durable as stainless steel, but it heats quickly and evenly. And most Korean BBQ pans come with a non-stick coating.
This keeps food from sticking, of course, but it also makes cleanup quick and easy while also deterring rust and corrosion.
Portability
Portability is also an important feature. Smaller units like the Iwatani Smokeless Korean Barbecue Grill weigh under four pounds, traveling and stowing nicely.
Others, like the Iwatani Smokeless Korean Barbecue Grill, weigh under 10 pounds and have a much larger cooking surface. So most Korean BBQs are lightweight and have a reasonably compact footprint, making them ideal for life on the road and perfect for tight spaces.
Grease management system
The best Korean BBQs come with a sloped pan, ribs (or grease channels), and a wide grease hole. This system gives meat bold sear lines while draining grease and fat away from food, out of the pan, and into a grease catcher. So food looks and tastes better and is healthier.
What is the best Korean BBQ grill for you?
So what is the best Korean BBQ out there? That ultimately depends on your budget, needs, and preferences. However, if I had to choose only one unit, it’d be the TECHEF Korean BBQ.
This unit is compact and lightweight but large enough to accommodate small groups. At only 14” X 14”, it doesn’t hog the dinner table. Plus, it stows vertically, so it is ideal for those with limited kitchen and cabinet space.
I also like that the grill pan has a unique swirled channel design. This ensures that grease drains slowly to enrich food but also keeps grease from gathering and oversaturating food.
The grill pan is also coated with Teflon, so it resists sticking. A bonus is that the grill pan rests on four legs with ridges. This keeps the grill pan stable without locking it in place, so you can rotate it or lift it from the base to serve guests.
The TECHEF Korean BBQ earns solid points for its high BTU output, sturdy and compact design, and affordable price.
Making Korean BBQ at home is a lot of fun, especially around the holidays. No matter the occasion, I hope you found a unit that makes your next gathering a blast!
Happy (Korean) BBQing!
